Sadee and her first Elmo

We showed Elmo to Sadee for the first time yesterday and she went crazy and loved it! Still no crawling yet!

Putting up the Tree

This year we decided to venture away from the pre-lit artificial tree that we used last year and went for a real one. After going back to the store to get more lights and constantly vacuuming up more and more pine needles, I say it is safe to say that we are going back to an artificial tree next year. Although the smell of the Christmas tree brings a lovely feeling to our home, all the work that went into it along with chasing all the kids around makes me exhausted. Oh well...all in the spirit of the season I guess....right?

The Holidays

Well, I have been horrible at taking any pictures during the beginning of the holiday season. I am just extremely worn out by Sadee's teething. Her top two teeth have finally cut and it seems that they come in two's. She has been pretty uncomfortable and the late night screaming has exhausted me. Thanksgiving night those teeth kept Scott and I up until 4am. I will definitely NOT miss her teething days.

On the bright side, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my parents and Scott's parents'. Although it was pretty hectic driving all over the place.

Sadee has finally started rocking back and forth on her knees and can actually scoot herself around on her bottom. Once she figured out that she was traveling on her own, she got pretty excited. Last night she scooted herself all the way over to her excer-saucer and pulled herself up onto her knees. Kind of crazy. After she got up there she couldn't figure out what to do next so she would plop down onto her bottom again. She pulled herself up onto her knees about 3 times and then figured that it was pretty boring after that. She will either be crawling any day or pulling herself up to a standing position. Maybe both...who knows? Kaily and Peyton are both great big brother and sister to her. Whenever I need a little break to clean the house a little or have a somewhat peaceful lunch, I just have them play with her until I am done and they don't complain one bit. Kaily and Peyton have both proven to be the best little helpers I could ask for while Daddy is at work all day long.

And people wonder why the kids are always so hyper...?

Sometimes I tell people that Scott is my 4th child. Well, if you've ever wondered why, just watch this video and you will see. The house is a wreck at this point but when the kids are home all day, it's kind of difficult to constantly clean up after them. Enjoy!

Sadee's Experience

Wow! Poor Sadee got caught in the middle of a shower of wine! Scott was holding her while he was watching the football game tonight...most of my fantasy players were going...and one of my fantasy football players scored a touchdown just as I was handing Scott a glass of wine. Well his arm shoots out and knocks the glass out of my hand and, along with me getting drenched, poor little Sadee got drenched, too! She obviously thought it was funny because she just started smiling as soon as it all went down! What a good little sport she was!

A Day at the Races for Ashly and Scott

So far, this is my second Nascar race to go to and I have to admit that I actually have a great time! This time we got tickets to a suite where all the food and beverages were free. The only thing that kind of sucked about the suite is that you can't hear all the noise and that is a big part of the experience. But it was still great!

Aw...aren't we cute

Our view from the suite

MY view from the suite....mmmm hmmmmm...

Being silly on the way home

After we picked up the kids from my parents' house, I started trying to take pics in the dark and I couldn't see anything before I snapped the shot and this is what I got of Sadee! It made us laugh!

The Heninger's Halloween - Sadee's 1st!

Well, Sadee's very first Halloween and our first Halloween in our new house was a little rough to begin with, but once we got them going door to door, it was a blast! It could have been a lot harder for me but my mom and dad came over to help and that made a huge difference! Scott ended up having to work late, so he missed out on most of the Trick-or-Treating this year. He is such a hard worker. Anyway, Kaily and Peyton had a blast together! They were all smiles all night long and after the Trick-or-Treating was over and after we met up with Daddy, we all met at Rio Mambo for a late dinner. That's where Kaily and Peyton decide to start trying out their dancing moves.

TEETH!

Ok, well Sadee finally got her first tooth in a day after she turned 7 months old which was October 23, 2008. She is showing all of the signs and when I say all of the signs, I mean ALL of the signs. And now today, only 2 days later, tooth #2 is already surfaced. So the fussiness is times two. I can only feel sorry for my poor baby because I know her little mouth is just hurting. I don't really have any pictures of the teeth yet because the camera can't quite see them. It looks like it's time to start thinking about not nursing her anymore. I am terrified of those sharp things! OUCH!

Arts and Crafts

The kids had a great weekend together this weekend. We got to go to Peyton's soccer practice and soccer game and Peyton got to see Scott play in his soccer game for the first time. And for the spirit of the season we decided to paint some decorations for around the house on Monday. As you can see, the paint ended up on some other surfaces after they got bored with the buckets! Sadee enjoyed watching as well.

Oh and by the way, My team Pink Princess is currently 6-1...yeah yeah...I lost one game but it was only because I forgot to put my defense back up off of the bench. Oh well, I am still first in both my division and the entire league. Those guys hate being beat by the only girl in the league. And Scott's team has started doing much better! He is currently tied for first in his division and third in his league. Woo hoo!

Another Great Weekend

Well, I would have to say that I had another great weekend with the kids and my mom, sister and Maddison. We went to the pumpkin patch that we've been going to ever since Trish and Moss moved into their new home. This was Sadee's first time at this pumpkin patch and Maddison's as well. The girls had a blast and Kaily got to go on her first pony ride ever.

This was an interesting picture to try to take...my mom would count to three and I would let her go for a split second and this is the result of that...LOL! It was hilarious but Sadee didn't like it so much.

Sadee is officially sitting up on her own which seems to make her happy when I set her on the floor on her own. She loved wearing this pink tutu!
