An Update on My Two Girls

Well, as of yesterday, Sadee is officially 10 months old. Every time I look at her now and realize how big she is I almost get tears in my eyes. She had a check-up yesterday and weighed 20lbs and 11oz and is 29 inches long. She is in the 100th percentile. She is finally crawling as of 2 weeks ago and from that day on she has just taken off and has also finally learned to be a little more independent. If you know Sadee, you know that that little girl can't stand to not be glued to my hip for one minute. But now that she has become mobile, there are times where I will be making her food or something and by the time I'm done, I have to go look for her. When she realizes that I can't find her, she starts giggling and then gives herself away. She has her own little language which me and Scott can understand. She will say something in her baby language and we will know that she means "dog". She loves our boxer, Maverick. Anyway, she is a healthy little girl who is just growing way too fast for us.

As for my sweet, precious Kaily, she recently had her two front teeth pulled out. :-( See, when she was 2 or 3, she fell and landed right on her front two teeth which of course killed the roots. So when the dentist looked at the X-rays of her teeth, she said that Kaily had to have them pulled because the dead roots would start decomposing and cause an infection in her permanent teeth that are right behind the roots. So, I went ahead and set the day and when we walked into the dentist's office, it was all I could do to keep the tears from flowing. I had already cried the day before because I knew that it would alter her appearance greatly with her two front teeth missing. On top of that...her next two permanent teeth won't come in until she's 7 or 8 years old. So, it's not like these teeth are going to come right on down just because her baby teeth were pulled. Anyway, Kaily did wonderful during the procedure, at least that's what the dentist said, and she looks Adorable with a capital A. Everytime she smiles, it makes me smile because the toothless look just makes her look too cute. All her friends at school also think that it's cool that she has already lost her two front teeth. Our Kaily is a trooper. Sissi and Bud did help her recover the day of the procedure because she was pretty puffy and the blood that was still there really bothered her so she did cry quite a bit after we left the dentist.

And as for our son, Peyton, he's been doing great as well. He has his 5th birthday coming up at the beginning of February and we plan on taking him to Wolf Lodge.
