Okay, okay...I know it's been 10 months since my last entry...I don't keep up too well with my blogs but this blog takes me too long to upload pictures, so yes, I slacked.
In other words, I'm not going to try to catch up too much, but Kaily is loving Kindergarten and is doing awesome! She is so smart and is reading 1st grade books! She's also growing like a weed! Just about all the clothes I bought for her right before school started don't fit her anymore and I feel like I'm constantly buying her a new pair of jeans! She definitely has her work cut out for her since her doctor says she's supposed to be taller than me! I'm pretty sure she'll be there before I can blink.
Sadee, of course has gone through tons of changes since she's just now turning 2 today and this is the fastest developmentally changing time of her life! I also just learned that kids don't enter their "terrible-twos" AFTER they turn two, but during their 2nd year of life...after they turn 1. I just read that after they turn two, that things start getting a little easier. Those parenting emails can be so helpful sometimes and now that I've learned that little tidbit of info, a lot of things make much more sense to me now. But she is just of course into EVERYTHING and loves to copy everthing I do! She will put make-up on, that will end up being all across her forehead and says, "Look at me! I look like Mommy!" And it touches my heart to see that she wants to be like me so badly. She will also try to wear my shoes and, poor thing, gets so frustrated when my 3 1/2 inch heels don't quite work for her! I think it's about time to get her one of those dress up kits that have the plastic high heels in them. And oh goodness, the first words out of her mouth every morning is, "I want to go outside." That child would live outside if it were possible! Just like Kaily, she will stay outside from sun-up to sun-down! I am so going to miss this one day when she's all grown up. I'm trying to catch all of her cuteness on video as much as possible.
Peyton just turned 6 last month and is growing oh so fast! He just about eats us out of house and home already! I dread to see what his appetite is like as a teenager! He is enjoying Kindergarten and is learning to overcome a few challenges, but he is a strong boy and I know he will work through them. He has a huge family who loves him to death and is always excited to see him every chance we get.
As for me, I started working again last June. I think I finally realized that the "stay-at-home-mom" thing just wasn't for me. When you don't work, there's only so many things that you can do to pass the time and then after those get old then you stay at home, and I'm not a stay at home during the day kinda gal. I am really enjoying it although I do still miss my girls being with me all day.
And lastly, Scott and I are doing excellent...we are currently looking for some land to build on out in Aledo. While we love the house we're in, we realized that we're kind of out in the middle of nowhere and with not a very good school district. I'll do my best to keep the updates on our search for land current. But enough of all that, here are some pics of some of the things that have been going on!
Sadee in her hospital gown after hitting her head pretty hard on our coffee table...so hard that I felt it necessary to go get her head x-rayed! She loved her gown though!
Sadee is showing off her gown here.
The huge snow fall we got measuring about 10 inches at our house! We were snowed in because that night this all turned into about a 3 inch layer of solid ice!
The snowman that Daddy attempted to build for Sadee
Building the snowman. The snow was so dry so it was hard for the snow to stick together so our snowman didn't turn out too big.
